The house is in the Castelnuovo di Farfa (Rieti) area, in front of the 6th century Farfa Abbey ( www.abbaziadifarfa.it ).

La casa dell'abbazia ่ in pietra e legno.

E' stata progettata per ridurre i consumi di energia al minimo.

L'obiettivo finale del progetto ่ la realizzazione

di una casa completamente autonoma dal punto di vista energetico.

Quando il progetto sarเ completato, useremo anche un auto elettrica

che sarเ rifornita dall'energia prodotta dai pannelli della casa.

Le mura esterne sono spesse 65 cm

Tutte le superfici esterne sono ben coibentate

ed i vetri sono doppi con la camera d'aria interna.

The abbey house has been built in wood and stones.

The house has been designed in order to reduce the use of energy.

The final goal of the project is to create a complete energy autonomous house.

At project end, we will use the electric car mouved by the enrgy

produced by the house panels.

The external walls thikness is 65 centimeters ( 26" )

All the external surfaces are well insulated

and the glasses are double with an internal air space.

un appartamento con una camera da letto matrimoniale (3),

un soggiorno con divano letto matrimoniale (2) e un bagno con doccia (4).

Il soggiorno (5) ha un grande camino, un tavolo da pranzo per 12/14 persone,

un piccolo tavolo da pranzo per 4 persone, divani e poltrone.

La cucina (6) ha il doppio lavello, 4 fuochi, forno, frigo e accessori.

La cucina ha piatti, posate e quant'altro possa servire per 14 persone.

The living room (5) has a big fireplace, a 12/14 persons dinner table, 

a little dinner table for 4 persons, sofa and armchairs.

Kitchen (6) has double sink, oven, freezing and all 14 persons may need.
